I have been a professional Graphic/Web designer & Marketing Executive , working independently for six years, following years of experiences within the employed sector of this field. During this time I have had the good fortune to work with all ranges of private and commercial projects. From private websites and blogs, and small establishing businesses, to huge internationally recognised corporations, such as the BBC, Luxottica and Kone.
As a Freelance Executive, I have worked at multi award winning Design agencies, photographers, printers and Marketing agencies.
My greatest concern of my industry has been the sharp increase in charges for art and marketing, which inadvertently damaged the ethos and value of this element of the commercial world, almost making Marketing and Advertising a dirty word. This increase in cost has only been to increase the egotistical desire for Artists to be creative, rather than productive, and for Marketing Consultants to acquire a larger portion of the customers profits by charging rates that cut heavily into any advancement into revenue the client may acquire.
I am happy to stand against this trend, and get back to the basics, and vital, elements of Marketing and Advertising of business. Through constructive consultation and by standardising my charges, my clients receive the same, if not better, expertise for a fraction of the cost. I pride myself on this, if for no other reason than to prove that Marketing and Advertising, is just a part of business and not something to be nervous about.
